Rotary dryer is a type of industrial dryer, which is applied to reduce moisture content of materials such as mineral ores, chemicals, biomass, wood sawdust, construction materials and etc.
Rotary dryer is made up of a large, rotating cylindrical tube, usually supported by concrete columns or steel beams. Its slopes slightly so that the discharge end is lower than the materials feeding point, in order to force the materials out trough the dryer under gravity.
The rotary dryer can use gas, oil, coal, even wood or biomass as fuel.
